In China, animal protection laws have not yet been fully implemented, and the large number of stray animals means they are often more vulnerable to natural disasters and human-related harm. At the same time, many citizens have begun establishing foster care shelters and humane charities on their own initiative to help protect and care for these animals.

Tian Xiuling Stray Cats and Dogs Rescue Shelter

Tian Xiuling is a 70 year old retiree who has dedicated her pension, personal efforts, and the support of a few volunteers to establish a rescue shelter for stray cats and dogs in Xi’an, China. At present, her shelter is home to around 260 dogs and 30 cats. For an elderly woman living with chronic health conditions, managing such a rescue is an incredibly demanding and challenging mission.

How to help?

Currently, I am sponsoring two of the dogs living in Tian Xiuling's shelter with parts of my own income from tattooing. I also donate kibbles and blankets to her shelter if financially capable.

With just 5 dollars, I can provide one dog with three weeks of essential care, including food, water, and warm blankets.

Your contribution will go directly toward Xiuling's shelter, either towards the two dogs under my sponsorship, or saved up used to purchase food and daily supplies for the shelter.

All donations recieved by me will be transparent as I will send you reciepts/screenshots of the donations and items I will purchase for them.

They were both abandoned with parvovirus when they were puppies.

Currently, Loaf is 4 years old, and Chestnut is 1 year old. Loaf is a bit shy but she loves people. Chestnut is very active and loves to destroy blankets.
